Myanmar refugees will remain in Bangladesh for years to come

More than 680,000 men, women and children of the ethnic Muslim minority have fled violence in Myanmar since August 2017, and currently live in an overcrowded camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Despite a signed arrangement for their return, we believe that Rohingya refugees may remain in Bangladesh for many years to come. For now, conditions in the camp are catastrophic, and there are growing fears of flooding and mudslides with the upcoming monsoon season.
