Life-saving response in Eastern Ukraine
In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Malteser International continues to provide life-saving assistance to communities in the Eastern oblasts most affected by the conflict. Through targeted aid efforts, the project supports displaced families and vulnerable individuals living near the front lines by helping them meet their basic needs despite limited access to services and ongoing insecurity. The focus lies on rapid humanitarian response and the stabilization of daily life under crisis conditions.
The humanitarian situation in Ukraine remains dire. Relentless attacks have displaced millions and severely damaged infrastructure, cutting off access to essential services such as electricity, water, and healthcare. Communities in the Eastern oblasts are particularly vulnerable due to their proximity to the front lines. They face constant threats, disruption of daily life, and significant barriers to receiving humanitarian assistance, all of which continue to deepen their hardship.
The aim is to meet urgent humanitarian needs in in Ukraine's most conflict-affected regions. By providing essential relief services, we aim to enhance the resilience and well-being of individuals and communities, ensuring their survival and fostering long-term recovery.
